There is no PC version at launch. Rockstar hasn’t announced one, but history is a strong hint: both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 came to PC roughly one to two years after their console debuts. If that pattern holds, a PC release could land somewhere in late 2027 or 2028 — but treat that as informed speculation, not fact.

There is also no announced version for Nintendo Switch 2 or last-gen consoles. If you’re still on PS4 or Xbox One, this is the game that will finally force the upgrade.

How we got here: the delay history

December 2023 — Trailer 1 breaks YouTube records and announces a 2025 window.
May 2025 — Rockstar delays the game to May 26, 2026, releasing Trailer 2 alongside a huge info drop about the game’s world and characters.
November 2025 — A second delay pushes the date to November 19, 2026, with Rockstar saying the extra time was needed to finish the game at the level of polish players expect.

Two delays sound worrying, but this is standard Rockstar behavior — Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed twice as well, and it launched as one of the most polished open-world games ever made.

Preorders are open now

Preorders went live on June 25, 2026 through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Store and retail. Two editions exist — Standard ($79.99) and Ultimate ($99.99) — and every preorder placed before November 20 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack bonus content plus a free month of GTA+.
